It's that time of year when Fantasy Football starts getting trickier as playoffs, injuries, and benchings enter the minds of the most dedicated football fans as they hope to finish strong.

Football fans got the first taste of Week 13 to go along with their Thanksgiving festivities as the Lions won their first Thanksgiving game in nearly a decade while the Cowboys held off a Raiders upset. The Baltimore Ravens kept their playoff hopes alive with a win over the division rival Pittsburgh Steelers.

The bulk of Week 13, however, will be played out on Sunday. The trickiest days of fantasy football are approaching in the final weeks when people will be relying on their favorite players to come through even though many of the top teams are starting to think about resting the stars to save them from injuries.

We'll take a look at who we believe are three of the top players to start this week  along with the three players who should probably be stashed on the bench.

Start:

QB Colin Kaepernick - A long and disappointing season is finally starting to get turned around for the 49ers star quarterback who was failing to live up to the expectations put before him to start the year. Now he is finally coming around, as are the 49ers. He's tossed five touchdowns in just the last two games so look for him to continue that this week.

RB Andre Brown - It was easy to forget about Brown because he missed a significant portion of the season, but now the Giants tailback is back and he's on fire. He has mixed things up nicely with teammate Brandon Jacobs and last week Brown tallied 127 yards on the ground. This week he will be facing a struggling Washington team and this is another great opportunity for Brown to keep having success.

TE Coby Fleener - Although Fleener is a tight end, he has emerged as Andrew Luck's go-to guy on the Colts, especially after Reggie Wayne went down with an injury. Luck will most likely look his way several times again this week against Tennessee so be sure to keep him off your bench.

Sit:

QB Geno Smith - The Jets quarterback has the most interceptions and the worst passer rating and yet his team is still in the thick of the AFC wild card race. Still, stash him on your bench this week because he has not been tested well under pressure and he's facing a Dolphins team in what seems to be an elimination game.

RB Steven Jackson - When we think of this guy we think of his glory days with the St. Louis Rams. Now, however, Jackson is just another running back on a dismal Atlanta Falcons team this season. Even worse for him, he's facing a talented Bills run defense.

TE Antonio Gates - The Chargers star is one of the biggest names in football but he his performance has not backed that up this season. Gates is an aging tight end without much left in the tank, so he's probably only worth starting if you're totally out of options.
