The 2015 Major League Baseball season begins on April 5 with the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs renewing their rivalry.

However, the National League West is home to the current World Series champions and arguably the best rivalry in sports that dates back to the playing days of Brooklyn and Manhattan before moving west.

Latin Post previews the NL West and vote on who will win this division:

San Francisco Giants

The Giants haven't won 95 games since the 2003 season. Apparently, the regular season doesn't mean much for this franchise as they have won three World Series titles over the last five seasons. Last year, the Giants defeated the Kansas City Royals thanks to Madison Bumgarner's all-time great postseason performance.

It will be tough without Pablo Sandoval, but Buster Posey will just have to counted on even more. Unfortunately, Hunter Pence will be out for some because of a broken arm. The re-signing of relief pitcher Sergio Romo is a big one because he is the team's best closer. This is a big year for Tim Lincecum, who is entering the final year of his contract.

Los Angeles Dodgers

The Dodgers have won this division the last two years, but only to end in disappointment at the hands of the Cardinals both times.

Starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw had an incredible season last year, winning the NL CY Young Award and the NL Most Valuable Player Award. Kershaw posted 21 wins and a remarkable 1.77 earned runs against average last season.

The Dodgers finished 10-9 against the Giants last season and had the most (49) road wins in the league. Brandon McCarthy was the biggest free agent signing for the Dodgers this offseason.

San Diego Padres

The Padres haven't won the NL West since 2006, and not many baseball fans are picking them to win the division this year. The Padres have huge hitting issues, especially home run hitting. Last season, San Diego scored the fewest runs in the league and recorded the fewest hits. Without a doubt, the biggest addition for the Padres this offseason was veteran pitcher James Shields.

Colorado Rockies

Since their 2007 World Series appearance against the Boston Red Sox, the Rockies have made the playoffs just once, which was in 2009. The Rockies haven't even had a winning record since 2010. Charlie Blackmon, Troy Tulowitzki and Corey Dickerson are quality players, but this team still has big holes. The Rockies were a terrible 6-13 against the Dodgers last year, and they were a horrendous 21-60 on the road. They are, however, a quality home team when playing at Coors Field.

Arizona Diamondbacks

The Diamondbacks were the worst team in all of baseball last season with a 64-98 record.

Not a single player even hit 20 home runs for the club last year, and just one pitcher had double-digit wins. The Diamondbacks didn't exactly make a huge splash in free agency this offseason either. If Arizona can somehow win the NL West this season, it would be an incredible achievement.
