Drake New Music 2013: Rapper Previews New Track Featuring Aaliyah? [LISTEN]
Drake has promised fans that he will release new music before 2013 ends. A recently uploaded social media video hints that the late Aaliyah may be featured on one of those tracks.
Today, Drake uploaded a video on his Instagram page with the caption "24 HOURS ON THIS BUS." The video shows various snippets of people and items on what appears to be Drake's Would You Like a Tour? bus. A soulful Drake jam highlighted with the light vocals of Aaliyah plays in the background.
This could be one of the singles that Drake told fans he would release this year, but neither the song title, a full version, nor a release date have been revealed.
Drake is a big fan of the "More Than a Woman" singer who died at the age of 22. According to AllHipHop, the rapper has a tattoo of Aaliyah on his back. In 2012, Drake appeared on an unreleased Aaliyah song titled "Enough Said." He has also expressed interest in making another Aaliyah album with the help of producer Noah "40" Shebib. The project has yet to develop.
If Aaliyah did not pass in 2001, there would probably be rumors that she and Drake were dating. Recently, romance rumors about the rapper have been out of control with everyone from Rihanna, Khloé Kardashian and Zoe Kravitz being brought into the mix. The Drake and Rihanna rumors are the hottest, as the pair have been spotted partying together, which creates the appearance that two may be together again, but sources say otherwise.
"Drake's not her man," a source told HolllywoodLife.com. "...There's nothing to even worry about because she and Drake haven't had that conversation yet. [She is] not really ready to jump into another relationship. After she's been burned and hurt, she will need some time, lots of time, before she's ready to go back in with her heart open to trust a guy."
