Despite an ongoing strike, a third "Sharknado" movie will make it to Syfy airwaves this summer, according to Deadline.

"Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!" will premiere in the U.S. on July 22, NBCUniversal confirmed. Within a day of the U.S. premiere, the movie will be seen in 86 countries around the world.

"We wanted this third title to boldly go where no shark movie has gone before," Chris Regina, Syfy senior vice president of program strategy said.

"Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!" embraces the larger-than-life irreverence that has made these movies so popular and entertaining," he added.

The movie has always been scheduled for July, but a strike that began March 3 by production members threatened to change that. Members wanted an International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) contract.

The second installment of "Sharknado" was made under a union contract, but the third movie has not been.

Pickets lasting for days by union supporters in Los Angeles and one at a film shooting in Washington D.C. led Asylum COO and "Sharknado 3" producer Paul Bales to blame New York-based IATSE for "manipulation and bullying" during the making of "Sharknado 2." He said that led them to go non-union for the third film.

IATSE says Bales and Asylum are "lying about the facts."

Viewers excited to see the third "Sharknado" movie know that the movie will star Tara Reid and Ian Ziering and be directed by Anthony C. Ferrante. Thunder Levin will write the script.

In "Sharknado 3," the action takes place in both Washington, D.C. and in Florida.

Cameos in the movie include Michele Bachman as herself, Jerry Springer as a tourist, NFL player Tom Compton as a reporter, N'Sync singer Chris Kirkpatrick as a lifeguard and wrestler Chris Jericho as a roller coaster operator.

"Shark Tank's" Mark Cuban will star in the film as the President of the United States and author Ann Coulter will be the Vice President.
