Actress, singer, dancer, and entrepreneur Jennifer Lopez has been honored with the March of Dimes' Grace Kelly Award for her role as a "celebrity parent role model."

According to Billboard, Lopez -- who is the mother of 5-year-old twins Max and Emme -- her role as a celebrity role model parent comes from the fact that she gave birth to healthy babies after a full-term pregnancy. Also being honored by the organization are A&E networks President and CEO Nancy Dubuc and Dr. Balaji Govindaswami, chief of newborn medicine at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. Last year, Reese Witherspoon was honored at the event.

According to Fox News Latino, Lopez is very pleased about winning this award. "As a mother myself, I am aware of the importance of healthful pregnancies and babies," she said. "Your children emulate what you do and I always want to set a good example for them."

The March of Dimes is an organization dedicated to helping prevent birth defects, premature births and infant mortality.
