Apple has complained about the current TV viewing experience for years. They have said it is old and has hinted at making it better for viewers. Now, the company will finally update its Apple TV set top boxes, Buzzfeed reports.

This June, at the World Wide Developers Conference, Apple plans to introduce a new set top box for Apple TV, along with an Apple TV App Store.

Sources say the next Apple TV set top box is a big change from the last device. The current Apple TV set top boxes have been discounted to $69 (from $99).

Apple has a vision on how TV viewing should be, and they plan to show it off in the upcoming Apple TV devices.

Apple wants to differentiate itself from competitors like Amazon, Roku and other companies that offer a similar device. Apple will likely create an all-in-one device that will not only stream TV programs and movies but will play music, run apps and even allow users to control some appliances in their homes.

The new Apple TV box will get a complete overhaul, both in its exterior and in its interior. Inside the box, a faster processor, likely the Apple A8 processor, will be featured. More on-board storage will be added to allow for the saving and operating of apps and saved shows and movies will be included.

Siri is expected to make her way into the Apple TV box. Users will be able to ask her to do things like play their favorite TV show or change the channel. A new remote is likely on the way for the new Apple TV box as well.

The Wall Street Journal leaked earlier this week that Apple is currently in talks with media companies like Disney and 21st Century Fox to help the device offer up to 25 channels of programming by the fall.

The last update to the Apple TV devices was in 2012, so a new set-top box has been long-awaited. The price will be more than the current device's price ($69) because of all the added features, the added storage and the faster processor.
