Margo Harshman is rumored to be returning to the CBS-aired drama "NCIS" this week in the role of Delilah.

According to CarterMatt, Harshman stars in the March 24 episode, "Status Update." It remains a mystery how big a role Delilah will assume in the episode or even if she and agent McGee, played by Sean Murray, will remain together. At least part of the episode focuses on the two discussing the nature of their relationship.

Christian Today reported a synopsis of "Status Update" reveals, "McGee reunites with his girlfriend Delilah to investigate the death of a thief who is found dead in a Marine's house. The probe reveals a clue to a terror group Delilah and the Department of Defense have been tracking from Dubai."

Meanwhile, Murray recently weighed in on the complexity of his and Delilah relationship, saying, "We haven't seen her this year, but I think we're going to see her, which is -- for me and for the for the character -- a good thing. I think people like to see McGee and Delilah together too and it's fun to do."

Murray goes on to bill Season 12 as a time of many twists and surprises for the show. In 2011, "NCIS" was voted America's favorite television show, and the action-packed drama finished its 10th season as the most-watched TV series in the U.S.

"NCIS" has featured Cote de Pablo, Sean Murray and Michael Weatherly, and it began in 2003.

The show was originally called "Navy NCIS." After six seasons, creators launched the spinoff "NCIS: Los Angeles." After Season 11, the spinoff "NCIS: New Orleans" was created.
