Natalie Portman may have played Chris Hemsworth's love interest in Thor: The Dark World, but the actress did not fulfill the role for the entire movie.

Portman revealed to NY Daily News that she didn't actually kiss Hemsworth as Thor in the final scene of the movie. A scheduling conflict prevented Portman from shooting the final scene.

"It was for reshoots (after the film was finished) and he was working in Hong Kong, and I couldn't get there because I was working on my own film," Portman said in an interview with NY Daily News.

As a result, Portman was forced to call in a stunt double to portray Jane Foster, Thor's girlfriend. Who better to play Hemsworth's girlfriend than his actual wife?

"And so they put his wife in my wig and costume, that's why it was so passionate," Portman said.

Elsa Pataky has been married to Hemsworth since 2010. The blonde double was so deceiving that fans did not notice a thing.

"It was such a perfect solution, wasn't it," Portman said.

Acting is nothing new for Pataky, however. The actress recently appeared in Fast & Furious 6 as well as Fast Five as Elena Neves. The actress also appeared in 2006's Snakes on a Plane and 2003's Beyond Re-Animator. She has been acting since 1997.

Pataky was born in Spain and has an 18-month-old daughter with Hemsworth named India Rose. She is also currently pregnant with Hemsworth's second child, E! News reports.

"I think [parenthood] brings out the child in all of us," Hemsworth told Parade magazine in October. "That's what's so beautiful. It reminds you of the fascination you had with things and how you can spend hours just being with someone. It's amazing."

The 30-year-old Australian actor also told E! News that being a father has changed him "for the better."

"It puts things into perspective," he said.
