After a long, three-month hiatus, "Bones" will finally return to Fox with 11 back-to-back episodes, starting on Thursday, March 26. However, although Brennan and Booth will be expecting their second child, the couple will hit a rough patch in their marriage after Booth lies about his gambling addiction.

"Bones" star Emily Deschanel revealed that Brennan and Booth's relationship will be a bit rocky in the second half of Season 10 when Booth lies to his wife about his relapse.

"There's a big blowout about it," teased the actress about Booth's gambling habit during an interview with TVLine.

"They don't know what their future is, if it's together or apart," she added.

According to Deschanel, Booth's relapse is triggered when he goes undercover to investigate the murder of a big-time poker player.

"Both Brennan and Aubrey are nervous about him doing that, and Booth assures them that he's going to be OK, but he's human and he's a recovered addict," she explained. "He shouldn't have put himself in that position. But the real problem for Brennan is, she talks to him point-blank about these things, and he lies to her. That's a big issue."

Deschanel went on to say that Brennan will consider a career change in order to avoid bringing a second child into the world while she and Booth are working in dangerous circumstances.

"Once the reality of being pregnant sets in, which she fights with for a while, it's an emotional thing," said Dechanel. "The first pregnancy, she's oblivious to bringing another human being into the world and what that means. This time around, she knows what she's doing and what -- I don't want to say repercussions -- but what the meaning of that is, bringing someone into the world and their world, specifically, because they do dangerous jobs."

She adds that the child was in dangerous situations, such as their house being destroyed in the previous season. Deschanel says that the world that her character exists in is just not a safe one, especially for children.

It wasn't something her character always realized, but now she does and is better prepared.

The actress continued saying, "You don't see them like applying for other jobs. It's clearly on Brennan's mind, for sure, and Booth's probably, as well, but I just want to speak for Brennan. Other characters are also reconsidering their jobs. It's only natural when you're expanding your family and your job has put all your lives in danger. Is it all worth it? You start questioning all that. She's a physical anthropologist. She's also a cultural anthropologist. She's had experiences on archaeological digs, as well as studying different cultures. These are all ... jobs that would put her and her family less in danger that she certainly would be considering at this time."

In light of the midseason premiere, "Bones" released sneak peak videos of Thursday night's all-new episode, featuring Cyndi Lauper as psychic Avalon Harmonia. In one clip published by E! News, Avalon tells Brennan and Booth that she has been contacted by their former colleague, the late Dr. Lance Sweets.

"She's always looking for a rational explanation for the inexplicable and will not be satisfied with the fact that there are things that we can't ever understand," Deschanel recently told reporters about how Brennan will handle the messages, reports E!.

Another clip, published by TVLine, shows that the Jeffersonian team will share a touching moment when they realized that Sweets didn't live to see his 30th birthday.

"Bones" also released a video where Deschanel and executive producer Stephen Nathan tease upcoming plots that include mini golf and Brennan joining Twitter.

According to Carter Matt, the official synopsis of the next episode, which is entitled "The Psychic in the Soup," reads as follows:

"The Jeffersonian team, with the help of Angela's psychic friend, Avalon Harmonia (guest star Cyndi Lauper), is drawn into the twisted world of fortune tellers when the body of a local psychic is found decomposing in the trunk of a tree. However, when the team learns more about the victim's personal life, those closest to her become suspects. Meanwhile, Booth and Brennan debate the pros and cons of Christine's new imaginary friend and the team remembers Sweets on his birthday."

"Bones" will return with Season 10, Episode 11, "The Psychic in the Soup," on Thursday, March 26 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
