Radamel Falcao will look to get back on track with Colombia's national side when the team takes on Bahrain in an international friendly.

Life has unfortunately not been kind to the Colombian captain, who missed the FIFA World Cup last summer due to a lingering knee injury. And despite recovering fully, he has failed to crack the starting lineup of Manchester United and has endured the worst season of his career. The 29-year-old, who should be in his prime, has only managed four goals and four assists in the Premier League this season, a far cry from the 28 he scored two seasons ago as a member of Atletico Madrid.

"It's a huge problem that we need to resolve; this problem is as large as the sadness that Falcao is going through right now," Colombia coach Jose Pekerman stated according to reports in reference to Falcao's poor form.

For Falcao, this friendly is a huge opportunity to reclaim his confidence. He last scored for Colombia during an international friendly with El Salvador in November. But that goal was his first in almost a year; prior to that, he had not scored for the national side since November of 2013 when he hit a goal against Belgium in a friendly.

During the World Cup qualifiers, Falcao was seen as the go-to guy to lead the team to greater heights. But he is no longer seen as that talismanic player, despite being in the prime of his career. His absence during the big tournament allowed James Rodriguez to shine brightest, thus claiming the spot as Colombia's finest talent. Rodriguez put up six goals in the World Cup and has continued his torrid pace with Real Madrid. However, he will not be in the friendly as he is still overcoming an injury that benched him for two months. Without Rodriguez, Falcao regains the title of Colombia's most important player.

Prediction: Colombia wins 4-0.

The game will be aired on beIN Sport Connect at 4:50 p.m. EST.
