After Season 4 brought the deaths of Joffrey and Tywin Lannister, Season 5 of "Game of Thrones" will see some changes, according to Mashable.

Tyrion has killed his father and is now on the run. He will be aided by Varys as he escapes from King's Landing.

Episode 1 of Season 5 begins with a flashback. Cersei is flashing back to when she was young, and she is in a witch's cabin in the woods on Lannister land. She is learning that she will become queen but also that she will be overtaken by someone younger, quicker and more beautiful than her.

The flashback ends and Cersei is sitting on the steps of King's Landing's Great Sept. She realizes the predictions have come true, as she sees Margaery Tyrell about to become her son's queen.

Jaime is also in the Sept. Cersei scolds Jaime for disappointing their father and becoming a King's guard.

A religious revival has occurred and Cersei is unable to stop a group of people calling themselves The Sparrows. The Sparrows have returned to King's Landing now that Tywin is dead.

Lancel Lannister is with The Sparrows. Lannister feels sorry for Cersei and forgives her. He tells her that he helped kill King Robert Baratheon at her request. He forgave her for that too.

Across the Narrow Sea, Tywin's killer, Tyrion Lanniste, is unboxed from the crate he escaped Westeros in. Varys has delivered him to the home of Illyrio Mopatis.

Tyrion starts drinking heavily because he is sad at having to kill his lover and father in the same night. He is unable to look into the future and he regrets his past. Varys changes the subject to talk about Daenerys and how Tyrion might help her claim the throne.

Daenerys is struggling to govern two cities, the former slave city of Meeren and the city of Yunkai. Citizens in Yunkai want the "fighting pits" to be reopened because they are extremely bored. She at first says no to this, but her lover Daario helps her change her mind.

The rest of the episode features Jon Snow's complicated situation at the Wall. Stannis Baratheon is now in charge and plans to retake the North with the help of the Wildlings. In order for that to happen, the king behind the wall, Mance Rayder would have to swear loyalty to Stannis. Jon Snow will have to persuade him to do so.

The final scene of the episode will decide whether Stannis was able to retake the North.

Spoilers Guide's official description reads: "Cersei (Lena Headey) and Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) adjust to a world without Tywin. Varys (Conleth Hill) reveals a conspiracy to Tyrion (Peter Dinklage). Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) faces a new threat to her rule. Jon (Kit Harington) is caught between two kings."
