Kevin Durant is being linked to a move out of Oklahoma City once his contract with the Thunder ends after the 2015-16 NBA season, but the reigning Most Valuable Player reiterated that he wants to stay.

Durant, who will be among the biggest free agents in the summer of 2016, is being linked to several teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers and Washington Wizards.

The Thunder will have the advantage over other interested teams in the summer of 2016 because they can offer the biggest salary and an extra year to Durant because they hold his Bird rights.

Previous reports indicated that the superstar forward will consider the Wizards because he wants to return to his hometown similar to what LeBron James did in the offseason when he decided to sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

When asked about the talks linking him to several teams, Durant admitted that he has been hearing a lot of rumblings as of late, but he reiterated that he loves playing in Oklahoma City.

"I love it here, man. I love my teammates, I love the city, I don't really think about anywhere else," Durant said in an interview with Revolt TV. "I hear it all the time, don't get me wrong, and once you hear it you're kind of like [looks up, thinking]. But for me, I love staying in the moment."

Durant, who has spent his entire eight-year career with the franchise, admitted, though, that there are factors that are out of his hands. But if he can have it his way, he wants the Thunder to be his only team for his entire career and added that he wants his jersey retired in Oklahoma City.

"I'm one of those guys that would love to stick it out with one team my whole career," Durant added. "Kobe, Tim Duncan, Dirk Nowitzki type. That's awesome. But you never know what the future holds sometimes and how teams may feel about you after a while, but I love it here and I would love to get my jersey retired here."

Durant, a six-time NBA All-Star who has a career averages of 27.3 points to go along with 6.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists, failed to make an impact for the Thunder this season.

The 26-year-old forward missed the first 17 games this season after undergoing surgery to repair a Jones fracture in his right foot. He managed to play in 27 games following the surgery, but was recently ruled out for the rest of the season after continuously experiencing soreness, which required another surgery last month.
