Beyonce Grown Woman Music Video: Queen B Twerks with Kelly Rowland and Mom
Beyoncé, a.k.a Queen Bey, has a new video for her song "Grown Woman." We are all excited to see the real thing since it's been a while since Beyoncé has released a music video. We know she has been super busy with touring, being a mom and living a luxurious life of riches and fame but... we're selfish. We're also super impatient since a snippet of the new video was posted on YouTube yesterday.
Hopefully Beyoncé and Jay-Z won't disown us (since they "Run This Town") but we saw a tease of the "Grown Woman" video and were kind of obsessed. The video features Bey's beautiful mom, Tina Knowles and best friend Kelly Rowland. You can spot Tina graciously sitting on a couch as Beyoncé sits on the floor beside her, giving the scene a kind of Queen and Princess feel.
Rowland makes an appearance, twirling her hair around as if she was just one of the dancers in the video. "Grown Woman" also has a 70s feel to it with lots of stripes, camera work and big hair. Beyoncé also creates a kind of Nubian royalty atmosphere in the video. Let's not forget all of the twerking and booty close-ups. Guess Bey doesn't want us to forget who is "the prettiest of them all." Only Beyoncé can pull off such a busy music video and for it to still be this good. And we haven't even see the entire video yet!
Though "Grown Woman" received some controversy because of its lyrics, it's turning out to be one of Beyoncé's most popular songs. People didn't like the contradiction of telling girls that they "Run The World" and then telling them "But now B**** I run this." See, if you encourage woman to unite as one and "run things" together you cannot take that away by encouraging a new attitude of "who's the main b****." Too much trouble, we gals are already a bit "catty". At the end of the day, it's Beyoncé and, well, she can do what she wants. Rumor has it that Blue Ivy is even in the video. Now we're extra excited!
