The film adaptation of E.L. James' erotic novel, Fifty Shades of Grey, began filming in Vancouver last week, and rumor has it that the set is all lattes, smiles and smoothies.

Fifty Shades of Grey's first scene was filmed at a café called Rainier Provisions. In the scene, Christian Grey, played by former Once Upon a Time star Jamie Dornan, and Anastasia Steele, played by 21 Jump Street's Dakota Johnson, get to know each other over a cup of joe. Although the scene sounds simple enough, People magazine reports that over 200 cast and crew members invaded Rainier Provisions to get the scene done.

"I've never seen anything like it," Erin Heather, Rainier Provisions co-owner, said in an interview with People. "It was quite a production for a relatively small scene."

The scene represented the first time Dornan, 31, and Johnson, 24, officially got into character and acted in front of a camera. As Fifty Shades of Grey fans everywhere judge the actors' looks, vibe and chemistry, Heather insists that the leads were in good spirits and had "good energy."

"They seemed really happy," Heather said of Dornan and Johnson. "It was the first day, so everyone was nervous but excited."

Forty-four lattes for Christian Grey later, the scene was done.

"When the shots were done, I was just giving the crew lattes," Heather said. "There was no point in throwing them out!"

It's not just Dornan and Johnson having all the fun, however. Producers Dana Brunetti, James and Max Martini, who plays Christian's bodyguard Jason Taylor, are enjoying themselves as well.

"Quote of the night: 'You can't have safe search on! You're the author of 50 Shades of Grey!' Max Martini to @E_L_James when using her iPhone," Brunetti said via Twitter on Dec. 6.

According to Perez Hilton's "inside sources," everyone on the set is "getting along swimmingly and sharing a lot of laughs. A LOT of laughs!"

And while Johnson may be enjoying herself on the set, she has not forgotten about those upcoming revealing sex scenes. According to an E! Online "insider," Johnson and Fifty Shades of Grey director Sam Taylor-Johnson, are hitting the juice to keep their bodies toned...organic juice that is. Apparently, the two ladies are hooked on The Juice Box, a Vancouver-based organic cold-pressed raw juice company.

"They order the organic cold-press juices," the E! Online source said. "They love them. They have a standing order for them. [They] are not doing a cleanse and are basically drinking a couple each day."

Fifty Shades of Grey will be released just in times for Valentine's Day on Feb. 13, 2015.
