The 2015 MLB Season is underway and the Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves and San Francisco Giants are all set to make their debut on Monday.

The Dodgers will look to start their campaign on a bright note when they face the San Diego Padres on Monday at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

Clayton Kershaw, the reigning National League Most Valuable Player and Cy Young Award winner, will look to lead the Padres to an opening day win, while James Shield will also try to help his team start the season with an impressive win on the road against Los Angeles.

Kershaw went 21-3 last season with a 1.77 ERA and 239 strikeouts for the Dodgers, while Shields went 14-8 in 34 starts for the Kansas City Royals. Shields left the Royals in the offseason and signed a four-year deal worth $75 million with the Padres.

Aside from the matchup between the two starting pitchers, fans are also looking forward to seeing Kershaw and Matt Kemp face each other for the first time in a regular-season game. Kemp spent the first nine years of his career in Los Angeles before he was traded to the Padres late last year.

The Padres-Dodgers match will begin at 4:10 p.m. ET and will be shown live on SportsNet LA. It will also be available through online live stream via MLB TV.

Meanwhile, the Atlanta Braves will go up against host team Miami Marlins at the Marlins Park -- a match between two teams who made roster moves in the offseason in the hope of improving their chances this season.

All-Star pitcher Julio Teheran will start for the Braves for the second consecutive season opener, while Alvarez will make his first opening day start for the Marlins.

Marlins superstar Giancarlo Stanton will also make his highly anticipated return after his campaign last season was cut short when he was hit by a pitch in the face, which required multiple surgeries. The 25-year-old right field is expected to play with a lot of motivation after signing a record 13-year deal worth $325 million in the offseason.

The Braves-Marlins match will start at 4:10 p.m. ET and will be shown live on FS-F and MLB TV.

On the other hand, the San Francisco Giants will kick off their title defense on Monday at Chase Field in Phoenix against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Madison Bumgarner, who made a huge impact in the 2014 World Series, will start for the Giants, while Josh Collmenter will start for the Diamondbacks.

The opening pitch will be thrown at 10 p.m. ET. Fans can catch the action on ESPN2 and FSA, while online live streaming will also be available on WatchESPN.
