The Ogre finally appears to be weighing on Barbara Kean's (Eric Richards) emotions in the new, upcoming episode of "Gotham," set to air later this month.

According to TV After Dark, "The Anvil of the Hammer" is slated to air on Fox on April 27, and the episode finds Det. Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) hot on their nemesis' tail.

Meanwhile, the Penguin (Lord Taylor) sparks an "epic war" by leading a massacre and Bruce (David Mazouz) finally learns the truth about what's plaguing Wayne Enterprises. The action-packed episode also focuses on Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) coming face-to-face with the results of some of his most recent actions.

Throughout Episode 20, Gordon and Bullock appear to be growing closer to unraveling the mystery of the Ogre and picking up steam in their investigation.

Spoilers Guide was among the first publications to report Milo Ventimiglia would be starring in the role of mystery man Jason Lennon, who in Episode 20 was touted as ready "to make his move on someone close to Gordon."

In its first season, "Gotham" also starred Jada Pinkett Smith as Fish Mooney, Sean Pertwee as Alfred, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle/the future Catwoman, Zabryna Guevara as Captain Sarah Essen, Victoria Cartagena as Renee Montoya, Andrew Stewart Jones as Crispus Allen and John Doman as Carmine Falcone.

Earlier this year, Fox executives announced the show would return for a second season. IGN.com reports co-chairman and co-CEO of Fox Television Group, Dana Walden, said network officials "love the show." She added they've instructed show creators to "keep doing what you're doing."

Developed by Bruno Heller, "Gotham" is based on the characters published from DC Comics' ongoing Batman franchise.
