Elena will begin reevaluating her life in the next episode of "The Vampire Diaries" on April 16.

According to the synopsis for "I Never Could Love Like That," news about Jo and Alaric's engagement and expectancy may cause Elena to begin yearning for a simple and normal life as a human that would allow her to settle down and start a family of her own. On the other hand, a decision like this would have a major impact on Damon, who would be forced to face the hard realization that he will one day have to live without the love of his life.

During an interview with TVLine, actress Jodi Lyn O'Keefe opened up about her character, Jo, and how her relationship with Alaric will affect Elena, who will start reflecting on her own future.

"I think Jo is going to be how she's always been with Elena, which is very supportive," teased O'Keefe. "She'll want her to think it through and decide what's important to her, and make sure she makes any decisions based on that. Jo has been, and will always be, a voice of reason for Elena, and whatever choices she makes, Jo will support them. I think Jo really does adore Elena, and she just wants to be a support system for her," she added.

When asked if she thinks Elena should take the cure, O'Keefe responded saying that it was great question.

She added, "I wonder what's going to be more important to her; I wonder if her life as it is now is what she ultimately wants, or if she wants the kind of life she previously had with those other options. It's tricky."

O'Keefe went on to hint that fans should not expect Jo to send her estranged brother Kai an invitation to her wedding.

"Jo is still really fearful of her brother, and rightly so. I mean, he slaughtered her entire family when they were kids, and I'm not sure how much we can trust his change, even with Luke's influence over him," said the actress.

According to Hollywood Hills, the synopsis for "I Never Could Love Like That" states:

"With their humanity turned off, Stefan and Caroline begin wreaking havoc at Whitmore, leaving Damon to come up with a risky plan involving Lily. After rushing to help Jo treat victims of Stefan and Caroline's latest killing spree, Elena discovers Jo is pregnant, prompting her to reevaluate her own life as a vampire."

In addition, "The Vampire Diaries" actress Graham revealed that Season 6 will go out with a bang. There will be a "cool, epic battle in the season finale," she teased, reports TVLine.

Season 6, Episode 18 of "The Vampire Diaries," entitled "I Never Could Love Like That," will air Thursday, April 16 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
