Here's some good news for Taco Bell lovers: Starting later this year, the fast food taco giant will begin testing delivery services. And, if all goes well, this could mean that Taco Bell fans will have the option to have their favorite dishes delivered right to their front door.

During an interview with Nation's Restaurant News (NRN) last month, CEO Brian Niccol revealed that the company will begin testing a new delivery system.

"Even though it's the No. 1 request from consumers, we have to make sure we can give them an experience that's consistent with Taco Bell, and that's what we're working through," said Niccol. "We have to figure it out, and I can tell you right now we don't have it figured out."

Niccol also confirmed that "some form of delivery will be in test by late this year."

"We have to make sure we can give them an experience that's consistent with Taco Bell," he added, noting that the goal is the make Taco Bell an "on-demand brand."

However, that's not the only way Taco Bell plans to accommodate customers. In addition, Niccol announced that the company will reward past patrons who frequent the establishment through a new loyalty program.

Meanwhile, their catering service will expand to other markets later this year. As of now, it is currently only available in Houston, Texas. Plus, the fast food chain plans to expand their breakfast menu and will begin offering online ordering in 2015, reports The New York Post.

Earlier this month, the world's largest restaurant chain, McDonald's, announced its plans to extend its breakfast menu at select restaurants in the San Diego area. The breakfast menu currently runs until 10:30 a.m. However, the company has yet to reveal which of its signature breakfast foods other than hash browns will be available to customers around the clock during the test run.
