As reported by the Daily Mail website, Dakota Johnson may be reconciling with her former boyfriend, British musician Matthew Hitt.

Although nothing has been confirmed yet, the two were seen walking a dog together in New York, although conspicuously "not to close."

The "Fifty Shades of Grey" star was last seen with the likes of Hitt in New York in December, following a break-up reportedly due to Hitt not wanting to be apart of the craziness in promoting Johnson's upcoming release of "Fifty Shades of Grey."

Johnson is the daughter of Hollywood stars Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith. Although most her recent fame has came at the heels as playing Anastasia Steele in the "Fifty Shades" movie, she has had several acting credits to her name, being a third-generation actor in her family.

Some of her credits include "21 Jump Street," "Need for Speed" and "The Social Network." She is also slated to executive produce and star in the upcoming feature "Forever, Interrupted."

On television, Johnson starred in "Ben and Kate" and also had a guest role on "The Office." She hosted "Saturday Night Live" last February, which made her the second person in history to have had a parent host the show as well.

She has also had modeling credits to her name since signing with IMG Models in 2006.

As Just Jared pointed out, Johnson walking alongside Hitt in New York, donning a leopard print coat, leads to speculation that the couple may be considering reconciliation. But one has to wonder how Hitt might respond to the future of this prosperous young lady, as she takes on more leading roles, the exhaustive work schedule and general craziness of relentless promotions, considering how he responded when just the first of many high-profile movies got released.
