Harlem, New York-native rapper Azealia Banks performed a 45-minute afternoon set for the first day of the 2015 Coachella music festival, Billboard reports.

Banks performed with a live band and two backup dancers in what Billboard describes as an "electrifying" and "thought-provoking" set.

Banks donned an all-white midi-sleeve crop top and denim shorts while performing songs from her debut LP, "Broke With Expensive Taste" and her EP "1991."

Banks kicked off the show with "Idle Delilah" and an energy-filled introduction for her fans.

"Coachella, make some mothaf----n' noise!" she said to the audience located at the main stage. "I'm so happy to be back."

Following her performance of "Idle Deliah," Banks continued the show with "Heavy Metal and Reflective," "Ice Princess," "Chasing Time" and a few of her other fan favorites.

Banks' set concluded with her breakout single, "212," which left fans applauding the rapper and cheering her on, Billboard reports.

Banks' successful Coachella performance comes on the heels of the backlash she received for making a controversial comment about President Barack Obama, Us Weekly reports.

In a recent interview with Billboard, Banks confessed that she finds the president attractive and would love to have sex with him "in the Oval Office" if she had the chance. "He's so fine," she said -- among other things.

Banks' comments caused a lot of controversy and backlash on social media prompting the New York City native rapper to clarify her statement.

In an Instagram post that has since been deleted, Banks accused Billboard of taking her words out of context. She also revealed that she would no longer be doing interviews this year, HotNewHipHop reports.

"This interview was not my favorite. Lots of things I said got taken out of context," she wrote. "This whole interview was mostly about a few raunchy jokes I made ... when I really spoke about so much more. Maybe it was the journalist, maybe it was the editor. Who knows, don't care. I'm not doing anymore interviews this year."
