'Bones' Season 10 Episode 14 Spoilers: Is Brennan's Father Involved in Suspicious Activity in 'The Putter in the Rough?' [Watch]
Thursday's all-new episode of "Bones" will be very interesting as the Jeffersonian team dives into the world of professional miniature golf and Brennan begins to suspect that her father is involved in some type of criminal activity again.
A preview of the next episode, "The Putter in the Rough," reveals that the team will investigate the murder of a miniature golf champion.
In the meantime, Brennan's father Max, played by Ryan O'Neal, will pay her a visit. However, a sneak peek teases that there will be tension between Brennan and her father, a career criminal, when he refuses to tell her why he needs to cancel his plans to babysit Christine.
"Are you in trouble again?" Brennan asked with concerned.
"I don't want you to be late for whatever it is you're hiding from me," she said.
Executive producer Stephen Nathan also dropped hints about Brennan's relationship with Max, revealing that his secrecy about something could bring her some closure in regard to her abandonment issues with her parents.
"We're trying to close up loose ends for Brennan and her history, and also for her relationship with Max," he told TV Guide. "Why was she placed in this situation? Why did Max do the things that he did? What are the ramifications of those things, and how do compassion and understanding and forgiveness figure into that?"
According to CarterMatt, the synopsis read as follows:
"The Jeffersonian team unravels an unexpectedly competitive world of mini-golf as they try to figure out the murder of the sport's superstar. Meanwhile, Brennan is worried her father Max (guest star Ryan O'Neal) is reverting to his criminal tendencies and "squintern" Wendell Bray (guest star Michael Grant Terry) enlists Hodgins to help him fix his girlfriend's family heirloom."
"Bones" will return with Season 10, Episode 14, "The Putter in the Rough," on Thursday, April 16 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
