The Duchess of Cambridge, due to give birth next week to her and Prince William's second child, will get a 10 percent discount from the pricey Lindo Wing of London's St. Mary's Hospital – just as any commoner would, the Daily Mail reported.

Kate Middleton is entitled to the special price because Prince George – the couple's son and heir to the British throne – was delivered at the same facility. Nevertheless, the two-room suite the 33-year-old royal is expected to occupy will still set her back some $8,780 (plus a $8900 "consultant fee") per night, as long as the birth takes place without any complications.

There will be "added costs if the use of forceps or other equipment is required," the Daily Mail warned; given the $56.3 million the royal household received as its 2014-15 "Sovereign Grant," however, even a difficult delivery should not prove too much of a financial challenge to the couple, who wed in 2011.

Middleton has said that the baby, whose sex has not been revealed, is due "mid to late April," prompting speculation about some significant dates during that time frame, the newspaper noted: The prince or princess could have a birthday that coincides with Prince William and Middleton's wedding anniversary – April 29 – for example, or celebrate together with his or her great-grandmother, the Queen, who was born on April 21.

Outside the Lindo Wing, where Prince Charles and Princess Diana presented their newborn Princes William and Harry to the world in 1982 and 1984, respectively, parking restrictions went up on Tuesday. The Palace will not allow reporters to camp outside St. Mary's Hospital until it has been confirmed that Middleton has gone into labor, Us Weekly detailed.

The duchess had made her final official appearance last month before embarking on her "royal maternity leave," the magazine quipped. The birth of her second child will be overseen by surgeon-gynecologist Guy Thorpe Beeston, who was also the leading physician during the her first child's arrival, E! Online reported.
