Following his unexpected departure from One Direction, Zayn Malik is set to make his first solo appearance on Friday night at the fifth annual Asian Awards.

According to MTV U.K., the former boyband member is rumored to be up for an award, with his producer pal Naughty Boy joining him at the ceremony in London.

Fans are certainly excited to see Malik on the red carpet since quitting 1D.

The half-Pakistani artist has not just been in the news bcause of his music career. He was also accused of cheating on fiancée Perrie Edwards. Club promoter Martina Olsson claimed last month that Malik had slept with her during his trip in Thailand, urging the Little Mix singer to dump him.

Olsson alleges Malik has been unfaithful more than once, she told The Sun, via Daily Mail. She opined that Edwards would possibly leave Malik.

The "Steal My Girl" singer took to his Twitter account on March 18 to slam Olsson's claim, writing, "I'm 22 years old... I love a girl named Perrie Edwards. And there's a lot of jealous f**ks in this world I'm sorry for what it looks like x."

To make matters worse, it was alleged earlier this week that a sex tape of Malik "naked and partying" leaked online. His friend revealed to OK! Magazine he is freaking out, since he thinks "there's a good chance it could be" and would negatively affect his relationship with Edwards.

The "Midnight Memories" hitmaker's rep immediately denied the recent claims to Now Magazine.

"The story is completely fabricated," Malik's rep said. "There's absolutely no truth to this whatsoever."
