Kanye West, Kim Kardashian News: Is Couple Angry With Amy Schumer Over Red Carpet Diss?
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are both rumored to be furious with comedian Amy Schumer after she feigned a fainting attack upon recently coming face-to-face with the couple on the red carpet.
According to Us Weekly, the high-profile pair were attending the Time 100 Gala in New York City earlier this week when the incident took place. As Schumer, who is one of Amber Rose's best friends, went into action, the pair hardly broke character, barely smiling and simply continuing to mug for the cameras.
"They were very serious," a source told the magazine of the two who were in town to celebrate West gracing the cover as one of Time's 100 most influential people in the world this year. "Kim smiled a little. Kanye, did not."
HollywoodLife also speculates 33-year-old Schumer's action could have been motivated by her desire to stand up for her friend Rose, who earlier this year engaged in a public dispute with several of the Kardashian sisters.
Back then, the war of words was sparked after Rose dissed 17-year-old Kylie Jenner over her ongoing relationship with older rapper Tyga, instantly drawing the ire of older sister Khloe.
According to Entertainment Tonight, not long after that Khloe, 31, chastised Rose for having once been a stripper and warned her not to diss her sister again.
It all seemed to have the opposite effect on the outspoken Rose, who at one point summed up just how little she seems to respect any of the sisters and the careers they've carved out for themselves.
"The only reason these girls have careers is because their older sister had a little fun on tape, let's be realistic," she said, apparently alluding to the sex tape Kim Kardashian once made with Ray J. She added, "Which I never ever hated on. I'm all for a woman making something out of nothing. If you can do that and bring your entire family on and make millions of dollars, that's dope to me."
