Enrique Iglesias, the 39-year-old Spanish singer and record producer, is adding helicopter pilot to his fabulous resume.

On Wednesday, the Latin heartthrob, who when not making records has spent much of his time involved with humanitarian causes for countries hit with natural disasters such as Haiti and the Philippines, posted an image of himself on Instagram standing near a chopper, with the caption reading: “pre #flight #inspection flight lessons #Guatemala#helicopter #helicopters #flying #iloveit”

Whatever Iglesias engages himself in, he has a reputation for going full force.

In a profile piece published in Billboard last year,Charlie Walk, executive vice pesident of Republic Records, described the star as a kind of dynamo.

"The Enrique business is a seven-day-a-week, 24/7 venture," says Walk, adding that Iglesias was one of the most "hands-on artists" he knew.

Iglesias is known to be serious about his role as an entertainer, always trying to figure out what his demographic desires, and studying the charts cover to cover each week.

Growing up Iglesias, son of the world-renowned singer Julio Iglesias, kept his ambitions to entertain mostly to himself.

"I never really shared [my music] with anyone. I felt like it wouldn't happen and I would have too many people with their opinions," Iglesias explained.

Perhaps his drive to do his best comes from his personal notion that whatever talent he has, having a famous father probably helped him get where he wanted to be.

"There are people who say, 'Do you think you would be in music if your dad was not a singer?' If I were to bet on it, maybe not," concedes the singer with ten albums to his credit.
