This year has been fairly quiet for Academy Award winning actress Sandra Bullock.

Her only movie release will be "Minions," which doesn't release until July 10. As a matter of fact, the last movie she was in was 2013's "Gravity." Compared to her earlier career in film, she has been taking it quite easy, considering there were some years she was releasing anywhere between two and six movies a year.

But she is coming back into the spotlight again with some slightly a new title: World's Most Beautiful Woman, according to People Magazine.

Bullock, 50, although mostly humbled by the idea, went into "princess mode" during the shoot for the cover of the magazine. She insisted that she had only laughed when she heard the news though.

"No, really. I just said, 'That's ridiculous,'" she told People. "I've told no one."

Bullock now has a 5-year-old son and she has been working less and being a mother to her son more. She did, however, do the voice-over work in "Minions" recently, but other than that, she has discovered that life with her son is what's really important.

"Real beauty is quiet. Especially in this town, it's just so hard not to say, 'Oh, I need to look like that,'" she told People. "No, be a good person, be a good mom, do a good job with the lunch, let someone cut in front of you who looks like they're in a bigger hurry. The people I find most beautiful are the ones who aren't trying."

But humbled as she may be, being a mother seems to have given her the attribute that makes her the most classy.

"I was putting him to bed and told him that even when I'm old and gray and more wrinkly than I am now, I'll still love him and want to tuck him in," Bullock said about her son. "And he asked why I have wrinkles, and I said, 'Well, I hope some of them are from laughing so much.' And he touched my face and said, 'You're not old, you're just happy.'"
