Aliens & UFO Sightings: Concerned Residents in the Bronx Call 911 After Seeing Object in Sky
Residents in the Bronx were frightened by an unknown light in the sky Saturday. This led to calls to police and 911 reporting what they thought was a unidentified flying object, according to the New York Post.
Residents said a fast moving light was speeding through the sky.
One woman called 911 saying she saw a "flying spaceship" moving quickly over East 149th Street and the Bruckner Expressway, according to a New York Fire Department source.
Juan Marrero also said he saw a fast moving object in the sky when he was on the roof of his building at 11:30 p.m. Saturday. He said he saw two bright lights flash across the sky.
"I look up and see this fireball, 'Whoosh!' and then another, 'Whoosh!'"
And he was certain it was not an airplane.
"From one side of the sky to the other, too fast for an airplane," he added.
Andres Morales also said he saw something in the sky and tried his hardest to get evidence of it.
"I stuck my hand out the car window and snapped like crazy," he told The Post. "I don't know what it was but it was moving crazy fast."
The sightings took place near East 149th Street, which is close to La Guardia Airport. This could explain the lights they saw.

Police officers were reportedly unhappy with the number of calls the station received about the suspected UFO in the sky.
A lot of people have called 911 tonight to report a UFO in the Bronx. Called NYPD, they said if I asked about it "you'll hear a dial tone." — Liam Stack (@liamstack) April 26, 2015
This is not the first time that residents in the area have reported seeing these strange lights in the sky. Last year and in 2011, residents saw similar unusual lights according to Ryan Sprague, who calls himself a "UFO journalist."
"I definitely think we're dealing with anomalies that could potentially be nonhuman," Sprague said.
