Billboard Latin Music Awards 2015 Winners, Highlights: Jennifer Lopez Honors Selena, Best Dressed & Romeo Santos Wins 10 Awards [Watch]
A-list performances, big wins and emotional moments filled the 2015 Billboard Latin Music Awards, which aired Thursday, April 30, on Telemundo.
The ceremony, held at the Bank United Center in Miami, honored the most popular recording artists, albums and songs in Latin music.
Performances
The most heartfelt moment of the evening was when Jennifer Lopez joined Los Dinos on stage for a beautiful tribute to Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, the Tejano singer who was murdered in 1995.
Old film footage of Selena played in the background as Lopez sang Quintanilla's hit "Como La Flor." But it didn't end there. Lopez also sang "No Me Queda Mas," "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom" and "I Could Fall In Love."
Lopez portrayed the Mexican-American singer in the 1997 biographical movie "Selena." J.Lo's incredibly moving performance complemented the talented singer-songwriter whose life ended too soon.
Carlos Santana also had a memorable performance on Thursday night.
Joined by Juanes, Santana performed "Black Magic Woman." Juanes sang in English before switching to Spanish for his hit song, "Juntos." Lucero also sang an old song, though it was to honor Ana Gabriel. The two sang "Quien Como Tu."
Best Dressed
The best dressed stars were quite obvious. Host Gaby Espino, who had quite a few outfit changes throughout the night, showed up in a blue halter dress.
Natalia Jimenez did not go for a conventional getup, but her bold choice paid off. The Spanish singer accessorized with big earrings.
Jennifer Lopez shunned dressed for the night. She wore a white lace jumpsuit, which she paired with a white cape.
