Wednesday’s Powerball is here.

There was no jackpot winner on last Saturday’s drawing when the winning numbers were 2, 6,11, 30 and 31; the Powerball was 33. So the money has rolled over and is now at $80 million, with $52.1 million in cash value.

There were 419,401 regular Powerball winners, and there was $7,360,408 in non-jackpot money awarded.

There are nine ways to win at Powerball. Players have a 1 in 175,223,510.00 chance in winning the grand prize, and a 1 in 5,153,632.65 in winning $1,000,000.

And if you are going to play Powerball, the one thing you’ve got to do is pay attention to the drawing and the game rules. Otherwise, you might miss out on the money.

A group of Powerball players out of Sherman, Texas, were cutting it close.

As reported by the NBCDFW, just one week before their big prize was about to expire, the group claimed a $2 million second-tier Powerball award.

According to the lottery rules, all prizes must be claimed no later than 180 days from the date of the drawing, and their ticket was set to expire on May 11.

And while you're paying attention to all the rules, you should be watching the guy at the register too.

A gas station in Palmdale, California, has just been placed under investigation after a lottery ticket that should have earned its ticket holder $75,000 only brought in $75 in cash.

As reported by KTLA News, the ticket holder was in fact a state inspector.

Shamsun Islam, the manager of the Chevron station now under watch, has maintained that the clerk at the counter realized his mistake right after the ticket-holder left, saying: “I talk to him. I show him the video.”
