Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott could be on the verge of walking down the aisle again.

According to Life & Style magazine, the often-troubled couple is desperately trying to put its controversial past behind, with McDermott even expressing a desire to "reaffirm his wedding vows" to his reality TV star wife.

"I would love to renew our vows," McDermott recently told the magazine while out and about in New Jersey promoting his new cookbook, "The Gourmet Dad." He added, "When the time is right, we'll do it."

McDermott, 48, seems convinced this time around things will certainly be different for the couple. He insists gone are the days when the they will allow their union, the good and the bad, to play out before a TV audience.

After McDermott admitted to cheating on his wife in 2013, the two starred in the reality show "True Tori," which was largely based on their struggles in working out all their issues.

"We won't do it on TV," he said. "It'll just be us and family."

Still, all the couple's hard times seem far from behind them. Back in early April, Star Magazine reported McDermott was rumored to be cheating on his wife once more, this time with his 52-year-old ex-wife, Mary Jo Eustace.

"She's heartbroken," a source told the magazine back then of Spelling. "She's trying to put on a brave face, but she's at a complete loss as to how to deal with it."

Sources also told Star Spelling's sudden hospitalization for "severe migraines" were related to the stress she felt over her struggles with McDermott.

"She doesn't recognize the man she married," a source added.
