Christmas is a time for gifts, giving and fun, even for the stars of the upcoming film adaptation of E.L. James's bestselling erotic novel, Fifty Shades of Grey.

Rita Ora will play Mia, the adopted sister of Christian Grey (played by Jamie Dornan), in the naughty film. Ora is best known as a British singer-songwriter, so making the jump to the big screen is a bit new for the star. Her family must have been shocked to watch Ora go from No. 1 singles like "Hot Right Now" to a role in a highly anticipated movie featuring something called the Red Room of Pain.

In order to get her mother more accustomed to the new role, Ora's father gave her mother a special gift: her very own copy of the Fifty Shades of Grey novel. Ora uploaded a photo of her mother holding the kinky book onto her Instagram page.

"Yes I know she's a little late but now she can see what all the Fuss is about. Good present DAD! Cheeky!!" Ora said in the photo's caption.

Meanwhile, James, the mastermind behind the Fifty Shades of Grey craze, celebrated Christmas like a true erotic author.

On Christmas Eve, James enjoyed the Fifty Shades of Grey Party game and a massive whip... a tasty walnut whip that is. The Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy writer uploaded pictures of her Christmas delights onto her Twitter page, showing that just because the pen is down, doesn't mean the naughty thoughts are off.

"Oooh! That's a big one," James said in the caption of the massive walnut whip, pun intended I'm sure.

The best Fifty Shades Christmas gift of all, however, may have been this video captured by a fan near the Fifty Shades of Grey movie set. An Instagram user seemed to be on a balcony of a building near the set, giving her a nice view of the action from above. In the video Christian and Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) kiss after the wealthy stud saves the college student from being struck by a bicyclist.

Fifty Shades of Grey will be in theaters Feb. 13, 2015.
