Saturday’s Powerball is here.

There were no jackpot winners on Wednesday, when the winning numbers were 23, 24, 27, 39, 41, and 30, so the money has rolled over once again and is now at $90 million, with a cash value of $58.6 million.

There were 357,957 regular winners, and $7,526,224 in non-jackpot money awarded.

The odds of winning the grand prize are 1 in 175,223,510.00, and the chances of winning $1,000,000 are 1 in 5,153,632.65. So the chances of winning big time are pretty slim, but despite the improbability people do win.

As reported in the Ventura County Star on Thursday, a $450,000 Powerball ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven in the coastal city of Oxnard, California.

In order to better secure the winnings The California Lottery has stated that Wednesday night's winner should sign the back of the lucky ticket and then go to a lottery district office during business hours ASAP. As always the winner has 180 days to claim the prize, or else the money will go to help California public schools.

When thinking about jackpot winners the mental image of people playing every week for years comes to mind, but, given the random nature of the game, sometimes those winners are barely legal adults.

As reported by AOL, in 2008, 19-year-old named Jay Vargas won $35 million and, being the newly loaded teenage boy that he then was, spent a pile of cash buying new cars and creating a TV show called "Wrestlicious," which was known for its comedy sketches and scantily clad ladies going at it in the ring.

This kind of money management might be a gender thing, as last year a 19-year-old girl named Deisi Ocampo won $4 million (on her birthday no less), and she simply planned on spending her wealth on college tuition so that she might one day live her dream of being a nurse.
