Evelyn Lozada has come a long way since her stint on Basketball Wives: after getting divorced from Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson after a domestic violence dispute, the "boutique owner," Latina Magazine blogger and reality star has announced that she is now engaged to her "baby daddy," Carl Crawford of the Los Angeles Dodgers!

According to The Los Angeles Times, Evelyn showed off the ring on Instagram (of course...), following in the footsteps of another soon-to-be athlete's wife, Gabrielle Union. The ring was designed by Jason of Beverly Hills, and the 14.5-carat sparkler features a 10-carat emerald cut center stone. It is valued at $1.4 million, according to the jeweler's rep. Crawford helped designed the ring and vetted 10 or 15 stones before picking one, according to jeweler Jason Arasheben. Arasheben delivered the ring to Crawford in Arizona and said, "His face just lit up when he saw it. You could tell they're very much in love. He was excited and nervous."

Further, according to Beauty World News, Lozada was very elated at the surprise proposal from her current love."I'm overjoyed and in complete and utter shock!" said the dark-haired beauty to People. "What a different year and a half it has been -- I'm truly happy!"

Crawford got down on one knee and "it took Evelyn by surprise," said her rep to the magazine about the proposal that came from left field.

"I definitely would get married again," confessed Lozada about walking down the aisle another time. "I still believe in love ... I'm not one of those people that's like 'we need to get engaged, we need to get married.' No, absolutely not. I feel like that's going to come, just like with the baby, let it come. I'm not forcing anything, so if it happens, it happens."

The boutique owner was previously engaged to NBA player Antoine Walker before marrying Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson. But the former couple infamously ended their two-month marriage in September 2012 following a domestic-violence dispute.
