Although The CW officially canceled "The Messengers," the show still has two episodes left that will continue airing in its normal Friday time slot at 9 p.m. ET on the CW.

In Episode 5 of this pre-apocalyptic series this Friday, titled "Eye In The Sky," we find that Erin attempts to celebrate Amy's birthday. But those plans get shot down due to Raul's intention to jumpstart Joshua's visions, as reported by K Site TV.

There is also another big reveal in this episode, which is the seventh angel, presumably the angel of death, as evident by a promo on Spoilers Guide.

In a sit-down chat at WonderCon 2015 in Anaheim, JD Pardo and Anna Diop talked a little about what drew them to the series to start with, Showbiz Junkies reports.

"Honestly I think that at that time I was really looking to just do something. You spend two years doing something like 'Revolution' and that becomes your family, the crew, the cast," Pardo told the audience. "It can be like a break-up. You need to get right back out there. And this script was interesting because the pilot at the beginning it wasn't so much about angels or the apocalypse."

Diop said she was drawn to the characters empathetic nature.

"That was something that I loved to play, something that I'd like to be more of. And, also she was thrown into this leader position so she has to deal with these five strangers," Diop said. "She's just thrown into this position to have to guide them. I think that was something that surprised me was just the constant having to round them up. At one point I looked at them like my kids, just constantly trying to keep them in my sight."

Pardo said he thought it was a great show and there were elements he thought kids would be able to relate to, which included Peter being bullied and harassed before running away.
