Cupertino-based tech giant Apple Inc. has its success synonymous to Steve Jobs. The former CEO of the company, who passed away in 2011, continues to fascinate a lot of people even after his death.

A biopic is set to come out later in 2015 that would chronicle the entrepreneur's journey towards launching iconic products that would change the landscape of technology as people know it.

Michael Fassbender, Seth Rogen, Kate Winslet and Jeff Daniels are among the actors shown in the film's first trailer that was revealed on Sunday, People reported.

The minute-long clip did not reveal many details about the upcoming biopic. It only showed Fassbender, with his back turned on the camera, as he faced an empty theater. Audio conversations with different people provide the background. People hurry past the lone figure standing in the middle, seemingly preparing for a big event.

The screen cuts to a scene that showed Fassbender donning the iconic black turtleneck, jeans and glasses that have become Jobs' go to outfit for any Apple product launch. He stood in front of a full theater as people applaud him while the scene showed snippets of the other actors in introduction.

Aaron Sorkin penned the screenplay based on the Steve Jobs biography written by Walter Isaacson, noted The Hollywood Reporter. Sony was initially set to distribute the film with David Fincher as the director.

However, it was reported in April 2014 that Sony has been actively looking for a replacement for Fincher because of his rumored demands, which included a $10 million fee and control in the film's marketing.

Talks with David Boyle immediately ensued after Fincher was officially out of the running and Boyle was soon signed to direct the biopic.

When Fincher was still in talks to helm the movie, he also expressed his desire to sign in actor Christian Bale for the role of Jobs. Leonardo DiCaprio was also considered to play the role, but when talks didn't pan out, Bale was once again the first choice, said The Hollywood Reporter.

After Sony decided to shelf the project, Universal went on to continue the movie. Scott Rudin, Mark Gordon, Guymon Casady and Christian Colson served as the producers of the film, which will hit theaters on October 9.
