Following Zayn Malik's sudden departure, One Direction showed up to this year's Billboard Music Awards as a quartet for the first time.

The British band, who won Top Duo/Group against Maroon 5 and their former tour mates 5 Seconds of Summer, made it clear that there is no animosity between Malik and them.

During an acceptance speech given at the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday evening, Liam Payne dedicated the award to his ex-bandmate.

"There's one more person to share this with," he said. "And that's our brother Zayn."

Payne's shout-out comes after him recently admitting on "The Late Late Show" that he and the rest of the group "felt a little bit angry," when Malik quit 1D.

"We were surprised, but I think we all knew the general vibe that Zayn was feeling," he told host James Corden, explaining that his former bandmate did not like certain aspects of being part of the band.

"You've got to follow your heart sometimes and go where you need to go. There's no argument with that," Payne continued. "We wish him the best of luck with whatever he gets up to."

Also, the "Steal My Girl" crooners took home another award for the Top Touring Artist category, beating Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, The Rolling Stones and Justin Timberlake.

Right before heading to the stage to pick up the prize, Harry Styles was spotted playfully grabbing bandmate Niall Horan's crotch when he leaned for a hug from him.

One Direction was also nominated for Top Artist against Ariana Grande, Perry, Sam Smith and Styles' ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift, and Top Billboard 200 Artist against Pentatonix, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith and Swift.
