The stars said goodbye to 2013 and welcomed the New Year 2014 via Twitter. Simon Cowell, Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber all took to their fav social media spot for good luck. Here are some of their tweets revealing their hopes and realizations from one year to the other.

Miley Cyrus, the queen of 2013, tweeted, "so many good memories made this year" being a bit sad about letting this year go. Soon-to-be dad Simon Cowell tweeted, "Happy new year. Be young. Be foolish. Be happy." Can we say mid-life crisis, anyone? "Is it really the last day of 2013? My goodness...0_0 #WhatAYear #BringItOn2014" tweeted Britney Spears, who has been in a daze from working so hard on her Vegas residency.

Kim Kardashian loves her Twitter and Instagram accounts as she tweeted, "I hope everyone has a safe New Years tonight! Nothing better than spending it with family & friends playing board games ;-)" Aw, how very nice. Justin Bieber's tweet was a bit boring yet straight to the point tweeting a simple "Have a fun New Years". Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi gave us the scoop on her plans for 2014 writing, "Bring it on 2014! Finally getting married to the love of my life, moving into our dream house & eventually having more babies #LETSGO."

Fellow "Jersey Shore" star DJ Pauly D got clever with his entry, writing "That's it I'm not tanning again til next year." Nicki Minaj, always inspiring (sort of), tweeted "Explore your dreams in 2014. You deserve it." Wasn't that a great tweet? Funny man Conan O'Brien brought out his conspiracy side tweeting, "New Year's Eve is just a made up holiday created by the taxi industry to get more vomit in cars." Hilarious!

Steve Martin wanted to confuse everyone with his New Year's tweet, "It's New Year's Eve! Don't forget to set your clocks back." Huh?... Exactly. From London, Adele wrote, "Happy New Year! May your 2014 be filled with love," and Emmy Rossum said, "Rainy wet soggy weather for new year's even in London." Rainn Wilson tweets a nice ending to this article saying, "Happy New Year Twinions. Let's make 2014 the kindest year on record!"
