Wednesday’s Powerball is here. And since nobody won the grand prize on Saturday -- when the winning numbers were: 24, 29, 38, 48 and 52; the Powerball was 32 -- all that money has once again rolled over and is now at $121 million with a cash value of $75.7 million.

There were 446,476 regular Powerball winners, and $6,833,611 was awarded.

There are actually nine ways to win at Powerball. There is a 1 in 175,223,510.00 chance of getting the grand prize, and a 1 in 5,153,632.65 chance of winning $1,000,000.

It is a fairly easy and relatively harmless procedure. The important thing is to watch the drawing and keep your ticket in one piece -- but even that part doesn’t seem to matter too much so long as you have access to some tape.

On Sunday, a man named Pete Kemp, a bus driver from Des Moines, was able to claim a $1 million lottery prize after almost losing it all.

As Kemp explains the near tragedy, he had gone into a convenience store on Sunday to check his Powerball ticket and found out that he was winner. However, in the process of getting his paperwork from the lottery terminal, the clerk accidentally threw away his ticket.

As reported by Radio Iowa, Kemp was just about to drive away when he realized what had happened and went back into the store to get his ticket which had already been torn in two.

All is well as the ticket was taped back together and Kemp will be taking home $700,000 after taxes.

Kemp, 47, has big family-oriented plans for his recently won wealth. Aside from using his cash to buffer his retirement, he plans on arranging a gathering with his five children.

“I think a celebration is in order, if we can get everybody together,” says the Powerball-winning bus driver.
