Kanye West Hot New 'SWISH' Album Release 2015: 'All Day' Rapper Complains He Was 'Grossly Over-Censored' at BBMAs [Watch]
Kanye West is not happy with how his performance at this year's Billboard Music Awards was aired on television.
The Chicago emcee took the stage at the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday evening to close the prestigious ceremony with his tracks "All Day" and "Black Skinhead." However, almost a minute of his performance was muted by ABC.
Fans were upset to see Yeezy's silenced set, and they took to their Twitter accounts to express disappointment.
What's the point of having Kanye West perform at the Billboards if you are going to mute most of the performance? Heh. #murica

Billboards just ruined that whole experienced for me. Kanye didn't even have bad language some of the parts they were blanking out... — Brad (@JiggaRay) May 18, 2015
I'm glad everyone at the Billboards is enjoying Kanye's performance. I wouldn't know cuz it's not like I can hear it

On Tuesday, West released a statement via his publicist to The Hollywood Reporter, complaining about his "grossly over-censored" set at the BBMAs.
"Non-profane lyrics such as 'with my leather black jeans on' were muted for over 30 second intervals," the statement read. "As a result, his voice and performance were seriously misrepresented."
"It is ridiculous that in 2015, unwarranted censorship is something that artists still have to fight against," the statement continued.
Although the heavy censor was beyond his control, the "Yeezus" rapper also apologized to fans, who were "unable to enjoy the performance the way he envisioned."
Representatives for ABC and Dick Clark Productions had no comment.
Check out both censored and uncensored versions of West's recent performance below.
