Keeping Up with the Kardashians: Selena Gomez to Star in Reality TV Show Produced by Kris Jenner?
Selena Gomez has reportedly been approached by Kris Jenner about starring in her own reality television show, inspired by the infamous "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" series.
"Selena is tired of being Justin Bieber's lovesick ex," OK! Magazine, via HollywoodLife, recently reported. "So she's hatched a plan to do her own reality show."
The publication added that Jenner is supposedly so "serious" about her plan, to the point she told Gomez the new show will "cause the Kardashians' own ratings to dip."
Similarly, a source revealed to HollywoodLife that the Kardashian matriarch-executive producer "did approach" and "threw out a number of ideas" to "The Heart Wants What It Wants" crooner.
"Kris wants to work with young, talented people and thinks she could help Selena boost her career," the source said.
However, Gomez is supposedly uninterested in exposing her personal life on national television; instead, she is more focused on "winning an Oscar and a Grammy" one day.
"A reality TV show would not be the right move for her now," the source added.
Meanwhile, the "I Want You to Know" singer was spotted crying while talking to former friend Kylie Jenner's mother on the red carpet at this year's Met Ball.
According to the publication, Kris, who has maintained a friendship with Gomez, helped the two enemies to reconcile.
"Kris brought up to Selena at the Met Ball that Kylie missed her and that she would love to see them talk again," an insider claimed.
Ever since the emotional run-in, the "Come & Get It" hitmaker and the teen have supposedly been trying to mend their relationship by talking and hanging out together.
"It's a work in progress between them," the insider added. "They won't be hanging out together alone yet, but in a group, it seems to have worked out positively."
