It's hard to believe that Chris Pine got his start in a 2006 Lindsay Lohan movie called "Just My Luck," especially given his latest spate of success as Capt. James Kirk in "Star Trek." Nonetheless, Pine says that he learned many valuable lessons from working with Lindsay...and he called her a "cyclone of insanity" as well.

In the latest issue of The Hollywood Reporter, Pine -- who will assume the role of Jack Ryan in the upcoming film, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit; previous actors who filled the Jack Ryan role include Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck, and Alec Baldwin -- says that while Lindsay was nice enough to him, he wouldn't have traded spaces with her for anything in the world. "It was a real cyclone of insanity, like being around The Beatles. It was fascinating to watch, and in hindsight it's really a distinct moment in someone's life when you see what's really wonderful about what we get to do and what's really dangerous about it," he added.

Pine also said that he learned a lot about the pitfalls of fame, and believing your own hype, from his erstwhile co-star. "Hollywood is like living in a weird bubble. A bunch of people take care of you and get you stuff, and you're the center of that little microcosmic world. You start believing that it is real and ... you deserve it," he said.

As Us Weekly reports, at the time that Pine and Lohan worked together, Lohan was making $7 million per role, and Pine was an unknown actor. Now, the tables have completely turned: Lohan is Hollywood box office poison, and Pine's star is constantly rising, especially after his stint on Star Trek. Despite his surge in popularity, however, he won't join Twitter or any other social media outlet. "What am I going to tweet about? My sneakers? Or, 'I have 140,000 friends on Facebook.' What does that even mean? I find it to be a waste of time. The internet is so caustic; just a place where people get to spew nonsense and bullsh-t," he said.
