'American Horror Story: Hotel' Online Cast & Season 5: Max Greenfield To Star in Series
Max Greenfield will join the cast to the upcoming "American Horror Story: Hotel."
Creator Ryan Murphy announced the news via Twitter and stated, "This October, Max Greenfield (like you've never seen him) is checking in to the hotel....but not checking out."
Murphy however did not indicate which role Greenfield would play or for how many episodes the actor would be on. However, according to his IMDb page the actor is signed on for 13 episodes.
Greenfield is best known for his work on "New Girl" and starred in "Veronica Mars." He was also in the independent film "About Alex" with Max Minghella. He is slated to appear in the SXSW hit "Hello, My Name Is Doris" and is currently filming "The Big Short" with Brad Pitt, Christian Bale and Ryan Gosling.
Greenfield will join "American Horror Story" cast mates Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer ("Magic Mike XXL," "White Collar"), Wes Bentley ("Interstellar"), Cheyenne Jackson ("Behind the Candelabra," "The Green"), Kathy Bates ("Revolutionary Road," "Titanic"), Sarah Paulson ("12 Years a Slave," "Martha Marcy May Marlene"), Chloe Sevigny ("Zodiac," "Boys Don't Cry"), Evan Peters ("X-Men: Days of Future Past") and Angela Bassett ("Malcolm X").
"American Horror Story" is an anthology series that centers on different characters and locations, including a haunted house, an insane asylum, a witch coven, a freak show and now a hotel. The show comes from 20th Century Fox and production is slated to begin this summer.
Throughout the past seasons, the show has obtained seven Golden globe nominations and has won for Best Actress in a Mini-series for Jessica Lange. It has also been nominated numerous times for the Emmy awards as well as the SAG awards. In total, the show has obtained 63 awards and 165 nominations.
The show will air in October in time for Halloween.
