Miley Cyrus & Patrick Schwarzenegger Breakup News Update 2015: Former Couple Reportedly Avoid Each Other at Same Party
Following their split in April, Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger found themselves in quite an awkward situation over the weekend.
According to Us Weekly, the former couple attended the same birthday party for Markus Molinari, the owner of the Bootsy Bellows nightclub. The celebration took place at West Hollywood's karaoke bar Blind Dragon on May 29.
A source claimed the two completely avoided each other, as expected. They didn't speak to each other.
The source added that Cyrus spent much of the evening with fellow pop star Katy Perry instead.
Meanwhile, the "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker and ex-fiancé Liam Hemsworth sparked reconciliation rumors.
New York Daily News' Confidenti@l reported in late April that the pair had been communicating through text messages.
A source revealed at the time that Cyrus and Hemsworth, who ended their engagement back in May 2012, were spotted "hanging out" at Soho House in West Hollywood, appearing to be on a date.
OK! magazine similarly reported that the Australian actor had been supporting the "We Can't Stop" singer following her breakup with the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger, talking to her every night.
"Liam told Miley he'd always be there for her, no matter what," a source said. "He was enraged at how she's been treated [by Schwarzenegger]."
Not only that, Cyrus has reportedly been telling her friends she wants to tie the knot with Hemsworth, according to Life & Style, via HollywoodLife.
"[Miley] went from telling her friends she wanted to take it slow with Liam to telling them she's planning a wedding," a source said. "Miley never stopped loving him, and held out hope that they would get back together."
However, the source added that "The Hunger Games" star is "not on the same page" as his ex. Cyrus is supposedly ready to be engaged to the actor again, but he just reportedly wants to hook up.
