After a prank that went horribly, horribly wrong, an Oklahoman man has been arrested. Authorities say he killed his stepfather with an "atomic wedgie."

"His underwear was pulled up over his head and the elastic band was around his throat." Lt. Jimmy Brewer told KFOR.

Denver Lee St. Clair, 58, died on Dec. 21 after getting into an altercation with Brad Davis, his 33-year-old stepson. Upon arriving at the scene, McLoud police interviewed Davis who said that, after some drinks, he got in an argument with Denver who got violent first and "came at him."

The two men allegedly started fighting, and Davis said he struck Denver in the head, causing him to lose consciousness. Next, Davis gave Denver an atomic wedgie by stretching the back of his underwear to cover his head.

"I'd never seen this before, but when we first looked at our victim seeing the waistband of his underwear was around his neck," Mike Booth, Pottawatomie County Sheriff, told The Oklahoman.

According to Amy Elliott, the spokeswoman for Oklahoma state's medical examiner, the death was ruled a homicide. The cause of death was determined as a combination of blunt force trauma to the head and asphyxiation.

"People knew him, and then to be killed like that is just outrageous." Peggy Springer, a nearby resident, told KFOR.

According to the affidavit, Davis sent a text message to his friend that night saying he was going to harm Denver. Accoridng to Tressia St. Clair, Davis' mother, Denver believed Davis owed him $7,000 for staying in a trailer home he owned. Davis' brother claims that on the day before the altercation, Denver said "he was going to pull Brad out of that trailer by his throat."

Davis is being held in jail without bond, KFOR reports. According to KFSN, a formal charge will be filed later this month at a court hearing.
