'Fuller House' Cast & News: Bob Saget Defends Olsen Twins’ Decision to not Return to Netflix Reboot
Comedian and actor Bob Saget recently spoke to the press about the Olsen twins' decision to not reprise their roles in the Netflix "Full House" reboot, "Fuller House."
Saget revealed to Us Weekly that he still remains close to Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and respects their decision to part ways with the "Full House" franchise.
"I'll see them in New York," Saget told Us Weekly while attending the premiere of "Entourage" in Westwood, California. "We're friends. People need to do what they want to do. They're very busy in their world that has nothing to do with being on 'Fuller House.'"
"I'm not really surprised," he added. I love them. I want them to be happy."
Last month, John Stamos, who is an executive producer and guest star on "Fuller House," revealed that he was "heartbroken" upon hearing the news that the Olsen sisters did not want to be involved in the new show.
Stamos took to Twitter and Facebook to express his disappointment over the Olsen sisters' decision to not return to the show.
Just so you reporters know - this is not a money gig for any of us- quite the opposite - we want to give the fans what...

But despite the absence of Mary Kate and Ashley, the rest of the original "Full House" cast will return to "Fuller House."
In addition to Saget and Stamos' return to the reunion show, Entertainment Tonight reports that original cast members Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Andrea Barber, Dave Coulier and Lori Loughlin will also reprise their characters on the show.
"Fuller House" will incorporate the same storyline as "Full House," with the original show's alum cast.
Bure will reprise her role as D.J. Tanner-Fuller, who is a recently widowed mother that seeks help from sister Stephanie (Sweetin) and best friend Kimmy Gibbler (Barber) to help raise her boys.
Stamos is set to only appear as a guest star on the show since he is already under contract to appear full-time in Fox's "Grandfathered."
An exact date for the "Fuller House" premiere has yet to be announced, but E! News says that the show will debut on Netflix sometime next year.
