Jason Statham, a British actor known for "Fast & Furious," is rumored to play the character "Bullseye" in the second season of "Daredevil," Latino Review announced.

The site noted that a Marvel TV source said Marvel itself wants Statham to play Bullseye for the second season. However, nothing is final yet, but with eyewitnesses telling they saw the "Spy" actor meeting with Marvel people, then the chance to see him as Bullseye is getting stronger.

"Daredevil," a web-based Marvel series created by Drew Goddard, comprised only 13 episodes in the first season and released its debut episode on Netflix on April 10 of this year. However, days before its scheduled online streaming, its second season was already approved and announced. Showrunner Steven DeKnight exclusively told SciFiNow what one would expect from the second season to premiere in 2016.

"Looking forward, there are so many stories to tell,€ œThe Hand, Elektra, Bullseye... with a 13-episode arc you don't have to rush it; you can explore. That'€™s not to say we are going to do Bullseye and Elektra, but it'™s on the radar," said DeKnight.

Twitter user named Marvel_Spider posted of what could be leaked audition tapes for the role of Elektra next season.

The videos were already deleted, but they reportedly show Shiva Kalaiselvan and Louisa Mignone of "Wish You Were Here" trying out for the role, IGN.com noted. Transcripts of the removed audition videos may be read on comicbook.com.

For those who do not know Elektra, she is linked with Daredevil in a romantic, but also tragic, kind of way. Thus, with Elektra on the way, Bullseye is also not far behind. Bullseye is a highly-skilled assassin which has a score to settle with Elektra, something the series should ultimately reveal.

On Marvel.com, the character whose rumored to be given to Statham is described as a " mercenary of mystery, nothing is really known about the man called Bullseye."

However, it was then noted that Bullseye was actually able to reveal of his identity when he was held in captivity in a U.S. prison with high-level security. He divulged some dark memories of a troubled youth.

Later on, it was revealed that he grew up with an abusive father he despised very much. He even painted a bullseye figure on his drunk father's forehead when the elder man was sleeping before shooting him.

So, will Statham be a great Bullseye? Since he is a fan of Daredevil himself, which he admitted in 2008, in an interview with LA Times, it would be interesting to see him portray the role of the villain of a role he loves.

However, Statham's recent video interview of an Italian website, i400Calci.com, showed the actor criticizing Marvel Comic films.

"I could take my grandma and put her in a cape, and they'll put her on a green screen and they'll have stunt doubles come in and do all the action. Anybody can do it. They're relying on stunt doubles, green screen, and $200 million budgets -- it's all CGI-created. To me, it's not authentic," said Statham in the video.

In a recent update, TechTimes.com informs that Marvel TV is denying this rumor of Statham playing Bullseye, saying there is "no truth to it at all."
