In addition to the departure of Kalinda Sharma in the Season 6 finale of "The Good Wife," Finn Polmar will also not return in Season 7 of the series next fall.

Fans said goodbye to Kalinda in last season's finale during her dramatic exit from the show. However, unlike the buildup that led to Kalinda's departure, it was less apparent that Matthew Goode's character was also leaving the show. In the finale Finn backed out of plans to partner up with Alicia to start a new law firm. According to TV Line, it turns out that Finn will no longer play a series regular.

Goode was introduced on "The Good Wife" as an attorney during the middle of Season 5. He then returned as a full-fledged regular in Season 6. Although it's unlikely that actress Archie Panjabi will resurface in the future, there is speculation that Goode could make one or two guest appearances.

In the meantime, show creators Robert and Michelle King hinted that they do not plan to replace Panjabi's role as a private investigator for Lockhart, Agos & Lee. Instead, they hired British actress Cush Jumbo of "Torchwood" to fill the some of the void that Panjabi left.

"I wouldn't say she's replacing Archie because she's irreplaceable, but we wanted someone who could fill that same interesting dynamic on the show without doing the same thing," Robert told TVGuide.com. "We're still figure out exactly [her role], but we're not suggesting that Cush will be an investigator or take on that role," added Michelle.

Robert also hinted that Robyn, who is played by Jess Weixler, could resume P.I. duties. "That's definitely a possibility. We love her and [would] love to have her back," said the showrunner.
