There will be trouble in paradise for newlyweds Xo and Rogelio when Rogelio's ex-wife comes to town in Season 2 of "Jane The Virgin."

In the Season 1 finale, Jane finally delivered a healthy baby boy named Mateo, but her newborn baby was kidnapped by Sin Rostro. Meanwhile, Petra took Rafael's swimmers home from the fertility clinic, while it was discovered that Jane's parents, Xo and Rogelio, eloped while they were drunk in Last Vegas.

During a recent interview with E! News, actress Andrea Navedo, who plays Xo, dropped spoilers about what fans can expect in Season 2 of The CW comedy series.

"I got a little hint about Rogelio's ex-wife coming back on the scene and she's a little quirky, from what I understand," she said. "And there's a reason why Mateo was kidnapped."

Last month, executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman also opened up about what's to come in the new season and the obstacles that Xo and Rogelio will face in their relationship.

"We're also going to be introducing Rogelio's first wife into the equation, who ... cheated on him and was his first true love," the showrunner told The Hollywood Reporter. "That's going to complicate things. She's a beautiful, beautiful hoarder, so she will come and complicate their lives, and Xo has her own complications. The course of the second season will include some definitive moves on their relationship."

Urman also teased what will happen to Jane's missing baby, who was kidnapped by Sin Rostro just when she was relishing in the moment of motherhood.

"Things are going to be OK," said the EP, suggesting that baby Mateo will be returned to her safely.

"The missing baby is an early development but they get the baby back. We're a comedy, so Jane will be able to laugh once she gets the baby back," she said. "She gets the baby back pretty quickly, but it sets other things in motion, what happened in that last scene. That is all part of the DNA of the second season."

However, viewers will see how losing a newborn right after giving birth affects Jane as a mother.

"Those are all the things we're going to explore," Urman said.

"It's obviously going to make her so overprotective and it's going to make her take some surprising steps because she doesn't want this to ever, ever happen in her world ever again. The nerves of new motherhood are amplified to the hundredth degree when she gets that baby back. And also, her resolve is going to be strengthened because you want Jane to come out stronger in some way and a little toughened after this has happened. It's going to make everything as we go along a little more fraught. When does she let Rafael have the baby by himself for the first time? Can she let go? How does she balance wanting to do something on her own with this tremendous guilt about leaving the baby and fear and all of this stuff? That's all going to play a part in our second season."

Urman also hinted that Sin Rostro kidnapped the baby because she is looking for something in return.

"Sin Rostro wants to trade the baby for something, and she wants leverage, and that's what she's getting with the baby," she said.
