The new indie horror film "Creep" has taken on a familiar "found footage" style of film-making and promises to deliver the scares in an "unnerving" way.

The film will actually be getting a streaming debut on June 23 with iTunes, but it later drops on Netflix on July 16 according to Entertainment Weekly. It was produced by the Duplass brothers and Jason Blum.

The film stars Mark Duplass as a man (Josef) who (supposedly) has terminal cancer, and he hires another man (Aaron), played by Patrick Brice, to chronicle him in his last days as a homage to his unborn child.

This low-budget indie film features only Duplass and Brice in the first half of the film, but in the trailer, another person's voice can be heard on the phone.

In the film, according to Inquisitr, the quirky antics of the day seem to unnerve Aaron and when he wants to go home, Josef convinces him to stay for one more drink. That is where the film takes a turn toward the horror with frightening scenes and seat-jumping scares.

The site indicates that there may even be a big-screen release for the film, but there is no definite date for it yet.

There is also a scene in the trailer that features a werewolf mask. The mask, depending on the success of the film, could end up being a cultural icon at some point.

"Depending on the success of the film, you may have a chance to be wearing this thing for Halloween," Duplass told EW. "Let's just see how many clicks we can get on Netflix. That will determine a lot of it."

There has also been talk about a sequel for the film, which hasn't even debuted yet.

"It's definitely in the discussions. When you see the movie, and you see what this movie is about-which is, 'Why do we inherently trust people that we shouldn't trust? Why is it that we put an ad in the paper and let a stranger walk into our home without knowing anything about them?'" Duplass said. "That story is so exciting and so interesting. For fear of being rude, or offending people, we don't protect ourselves. And that feels big to us. We definitely feel his is not the end for the stories of 'Creep.'"
