'Finding Bigfoot' Season 7 Episode 2 Recap: Animal Planet Reality Stars Search for Sasquatch in Florida
There's no need to fret if you missed Sunday's episode of "Finding Bigfoot" on the Animal Planet since, as usual, the Bigfoot hunters had no luck in their search for the mythical creature.
During each episode of the reality series, the "Finding Bigfoot" team travels throughout the country to uncover the truth behind the existence of Bigfoot. The team consists of Bigfoot Field Research Organization (BFRO) President Matt Moneymaker, researchers James "Bobo" Fay and Cliff Barackman, and scientist and skeptic Ranae Holland.
After the Sasquatch hunters pick a Bigfoot hotspot, they interview people who claim to have seen the legendary beast. Then, the researchers set up reenactments of the sighting to try to catch the ape-like creature in action.
On Sunday, the hunting team stopped by the Myakka River State Park in Florida, which is supposedly a hot spot for Sasquatch activity. One man named Jeff claimed to have had an encounter with a "hairy hominid" near the entrance of Myakka River State Park just three days earlier, notes TV Ruckus. According to him, when he called out to the mysterious beast, it walked into the brush. However, Ranae could not find any evidence or a cleared path in the area where Jeff claimed to have seen the large creature.
Another witness named Mike told the hunters that he captured a Sasquatch next to the Myakka River in a shaky video recording. In addition, Mike also claimed that he saw a bunch of dead hogs laying on the ground, which could be an indication that the animal had been feeding in the area. However, it was revealed that Mike failed to produce any video or photo evidence of the dead pigs. Plus, even if he did see a group of dead hogs, there's a strong chance that the predators were alligators, not a Sasquatch.
Maybe the "Finding Bigfoot" team will have better luck in next Sunday's episode, but after seven seasons, the chances are that they won't.
